Thanksgiving Share 2019

The Thanksgiving CSA Share will be available for pick up on Nov. 23 (the Saturday before Thanksgiving) at the Ann Arbor Farmers Market from 7 AM until noon or at Tantre Farm from 2 until 5 PM for $125. You will receive a newsletter with storage tips and recipes for 60 to 80 pounds of multiple varieties of some of the following:  potatoes (yellow, blue, pink, red), cabbage, winter squash, garlic, Brussels sprouts, beets (golden, red), onions (red, yellow), leeks, carrots (red, orange, purple), kale, spinach, watermelon & daikon radishes. A special addition to our share are two jars of locally-grown, lacto-fermented veggies (some from Tantre Farm) from a local business called The Brinery (www.thebrinery.com). The founder, David Klingenberger, started fermenting vegetables over 10 years ago at the turn of the century, while working at Tantre Farm. Please register by Nov. 16, so we have enough time to put together your share. This is a chance to stock up on vegetables before the holiday or for winter storage. This is a great share to split with other friends, coworkers, or family members! Non-members and returning members are welcome!



Extended Fall Share 2019

We offer an Extended Fall Share for 4 extra weeks (1 extra week added from past years) in October for $140, which is available as a prorated share as well for $35/week.  This will begin the week of Sept. 29-Oct. 5 and the last distribution will be the week of Oct. 20-Oct. 26. There will be 8 to 12 items each week, which may include a variety of Cooking Greens (kale, collards, spinach), Salad Greens (baby lettuce, arugula, spicy greens), Brassicas (Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, broccoli, cabbage), Roots (potatoes, carrots, turnips, radishes, beets, celeriac), Fruiting Veggies (winter squash, pie pumpkins, mushrooms, maybe even some tomatoes and peppers), Alliums (garlic, onions), and maybe some fall apples. You will receive a weekly newsletter by email at the beginning of each week describing your share items, cooking and storage tips, important dates, helpful hints, recipes, and feature articles from the farmers. There is plenty of time to sign up for this fall share, but please make sure to register by Saturday, Sept. 28, at the latest, so we have enough time to plan for our Harvest Count for this CSA option.
