We are offering you the warmth and sustenance of our Shakespeare-inspired, Midwinter Morning's Dream CSA available for a one-time pick up on Saturday, February 22, at the Washtenaw Food Hub from 9 AM - 12 PM, Tantre Farm from 2 - 5 PM, Argus Farm Stop-Packard from 9 AM - 6 PM, or Agricole Farm Stop from 9 AM - 12 PM for $100. Registration is now open and will close by midnight on Wed. Feb. 19. We are excited to be combining our efforts with several local food artisans and farmers to further strengthen our vision of the power of local networking through our Dream Share. Besides some combination of Tantre Farm's root cellar vegetables (beets, daikon radishes, watermelon radishes, onions, kohlrabi, multi-colored potatoes, multi-colored carrots), this share will feature a loaf of freshly-made sourdough bread from Raterman Bread, a Tantre carrot cake (dietary needs accommodated) from Harvest Kitchen, a jar of zesty sauerkraut from the Brinery, organic winter squash from Second Spring Farm, as well as a bag of tender, organic microgreens from Garden Works Organic Farm. It is not the midsummer time of a Midsummer Night's Dream, but it is definitely "midwinter", and we thought you might enjoy a Shakespeare-inspired Dream Share to shake away the winter doldrums. Please try it!
Members of our Summer CSA will receive 18 weeks of fresh, organic produce from your chosen location one time per week from late May through the end of September for $630. These shares are prorated for later signups throughout the season for $35/week. A "share" feeds 2 people generously or a family of 4 with small children. We do not offer half shares, just one-size share box, so some CSA members choose to split a share with a friend, a family member, a co-worker, or a neighbor. Many members split their box every week with a share partner, and others pick up a full share on alternate weeks with their share partner. If you are interested in splitting your share, but cannot find someone to split it with, let us know and we may be able to pair you with someone. We grow a large variety of crops, so you'll be able to try new flavors, textures, and types of produce, in addition to discovering what it means to eat locally and seasonally. Final payments are due on May 1, unless other arrangements are pre-arranged.Thank you for joining our Summer CSA.
